Carol's Story

Carol graduated from the University of Bradford, England, before starting her career as a rotational physiotherapist within the NHS at Airedale Foundation Trust. This role gave her extensive experience across a wide range of specialties—from A&E to neurology, amputees to orthopaedics—building a strong clinical foundation that would later prove invaluable in musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine and occupational health.

She went on to lead a multidisciplinary team at Bradford Teaching Hospital, ensuring seamless patient care across various specialties. Carol then moved to New Zealand, where she practiced as a senior MSK physiotherapist across 10 private clinics before being recruited as a senior clinical occupational physiotherapist for one of Oceania’s leading occupational health companies.

With years of experience as an on-site and virtual occupational health & MSK clinician in New Zealand and the UK, Carol has now returned to Ireland, bringing her expertise to benefit local businesses and individuals. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and has worked across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, elite sports, energy, pharmaceuticals, engineering, construction, education, retail, logistics, social housing, food & drink, agriculture, and facilities management.

Carol is a recognized leader in workplace health and ergonomics. She spearheaded a national Ergonomics at Work campaign in collaboration with the Small Firms Association (SFA) & OBEC and became the face of the #MoveAtWork European campaign promoting healthy work habits. Her expertise is sought after by leading institutions—she has been invited to teach at Trinity College Dublin, RCSI, UCC, Portobello Institute, and more.

Most recently, Carol was invited to join a stakeholders' forum with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, contributing her insights to help shape Ireland’s healthcare policies.
